One beautiful morning the sun sat upon his throne gazing over his kingdom. People jogged by going on their early morning runs, owners exercising with their dogs, boats rocking back and forth in the ocean, like rocking a baby, and swimmers freestyling to start off their day with an early morning swim. As I sat on the sandy shore and stare out into the horizon and the never ending ocean line; I felt the early morning breeze brush up against my skin and the sand tingle beneath my feet. The sound of the ocean water crashed against the poles, that held up the wharf, was quite soothing and calming, distant murmuring were going on behind me and dogs rapidly panting after a run; just completed a great start to what was hopefully going to be an awesome day.

At this point of the day the sun was glaring down on the beach with its firey beady eyes, like a dragon breathing fire burning down the land it stands before, sweat was running down my face and my body temperature was rising. Loud music was being played through a speaker the size of a really big gym bag that produced sound that echoed throughout the whole kingdom. It was blasting songs from the 90’s and the 21st century for everyone to enjoy while doing their own thing. Hours had gone by and a lot more people more piling in from all ages all wanting to enjoy their time at the beach; families were bringing in picnics, some bought meat to be cooked on the BBQ; the sound of the meat sizzling on the BBQ and the smell lingered around the beach, like the way perfume lingered around when someone walked in, made a lot of tummies rumble, especially with the group of people I was around we were all starving and just couldn’t wait to dig into the feed that our parents had prepared.

It had been a really long night and by this time the king had hidden behind his throne and the moon and stars came out. Crickets were chirruping and music was still playing but it was fading away as more and more people were leaving. Couples were taking a late night romantic stroll along the shores. The moon and stars were shining bright in the beautiful night sky; there was still a warm breeze lingering around the beach that just gently brushed up against your skin. At this point of the day people were feeling pretty tired but there were still teenages jumping off the wharf and just being really energetic. As I sat there on the brown wooden bench staring out in the night sky, lights from the boats shining bright, and the music playing quieting in the background it was time for me to say goodbye to it all until next time.
